「Well, Franco is what really makes the stay. He gives all sorts of tips and advice for what to visit and where to go and even books restaurants for you. That being said the masseria is a bit in the middle of nowhere. The dog Diana is the highlight of the stay. She is always there to welcome you when you return to the property. 「Absolutely fabulous, very welcoming and friendly host. Beautiful, spotlessly clean, large room with private terrace and large bathroom. Everything we needed and more. Breakfast was sweet Italian at a local family run cafe, although, free shared coffee machine, kettle, fridge, microwave and snacks available to all guests in the lobby. 「The location is very close to the Sassi, which was my main objective. The parking garage was also very close and convenient. Our room was fine, small shower but to be expected in Italy! All good. Now, let me tell you about the sweet host, so helpful! He set up breakfast for us, baked fresh croissants with jams and nutella, made wonderful coffee and offered yogurt, juice, Matera bread ( the best!) we were a group of 6 filling all of his rooms for the night. Perfect stay for us!」

「A restaurant is exactly downstairs of our room, so it was quite noisy in the night time from the guests sitting outside of restaurant. Also there was a few second noise from the electric box of the room every minute when we turned on the air conditioning. The location of room is very good, walking distance to Matera old town. We really enjoy to stay at Matera.」
