「If you want to visit the island of San Miguel this is an excellent option. The hotel is not brand new but it is very nice, lovely ocean view, quiet and rooms are very spacious and bright. Staff is extremely friendly. Hotel is well located for all key spots in San Miguel but you do need a car to get around. The beach at the hotel is very nice.」

「The Whales Bay hotel is highly recommended. The place was very nice and clean. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and even got into the jacuzzi for a few minutes. The location is nice also as it is out in a quieter area but still only about 25 minutes t Ponta Delgada. The only thing missing was a nice breakfast.」
