Lovely ocean front property with stunning views from the room. We enjoyed the grounds and how quiet and secluded the property is. Breakfast was fairly average but does the job. There is only soap in the washroom so be sure to bring what you need.

The grounds of the property are beautiful! The large outdoor pool is also quite nice. Staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet had lots of tasty options. The room my son and I stayed in was basic in its decor, but the bed was comfy and the water pressure was strong. The location is tucked away and there isn’t much in town, but a 5 minute drive gets you to the highway.

Lovely stay

It was a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful with everything (questions/tours/car trouble). The views were incredible and we saw whales and dolphins from our balcony almost every night. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is beautiful. Place was so worth it

Ideally placed to explore the island, all the rooms offer great sea views. The restaurant, open until 10 pm, is very accommodating. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Ponta Delgada is only 15 minutes away by car and last but not least the personnel is nice and kind.

Lovely spot on the ocean. Interesting and beautiful property was worth exploring. Trail down to the rocky water edge. Old short castle like walls to support a previous vineyard! The desk gentleman is a descendent of a family vineyard (no longer in the family)! Accommodation was excellent.

The property is beautiful and clean, the staff was great, the beds comfortable and the view from the room was amazing. The only thing that disappointed us was that the pool wasn't heated and was much too cold, even for us Canadians (felt around 60F/15C). I realize it is still winter, but the weather would have been warm enough for us crazy Canucks to swim.

The property has stunning ocean views. Looked like every room had a balcony facing the ocean and cliff. Simply gorgeous. Staff was very kind, informative, and accommodating. Food left something to be desired, but if you're staying here, you probably rented a car and can head into town to eat in Agua de Pau or further afield to Ponta Delgada. I recommend this place to travelers and nature lovers, as it's more centrally located on the island than Ponta Delgada, more away from the crowds, and offers a more peaceful experience.
