"I have never in my life left a review for anything but I feel the need to warn others about this place. This was one of the dirtiest and dingiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Breakfast was gross. Carpet was disgusting and stained. Curtains were torn. WiFi never worked. Even the laminate floors were stained. I didn’t even know it was possible to stain laminate flooring. Save your money. Stay somewhere else."

"Need to sort out breakfast so the waffle station is separate from other breakfast items. Lines were too long to get other breakfast items. A comfortable sitting area outside would be nice."

"Hampton Inn has been my preferred travel choice for years. However for this stay, my Room was not available at my check in time which was after 6:00 pm I initially arrived at 11:00 AM via Amtrak so consequently no vehicle to stage my baggage. I asked if the property could store my bags. They accommodated me by accessing a locked storeroom. Not giving me a lot of confidence that they are set up for bag storage. This is an important amenity for me at both ends of the stay. As it may be for other guests, as well. I was told that I would be texted when the room was ready. No tamest ever came. I booked for a two night stay. Perhaps I’m not clued in on Hampton Inn’s new standards, but my room had no housekeeping service throughout my stay. I at least expected to have my bed made up and the wet towels replaced with fresh ones and the trash taken out. But this did not happen throughout my stay. As you know, you are in a competitive business. My loyalty to Hampton will clearly be impacted by the Williamsburg Hampton Inn experience. David Shay"

"The rooms available in colonial houses differ greatly. They originally assigned us a room on the second floor, which was not possible for us. Additionally, it was extremely hard to haul all of our luggage to the room. We then asked for a ground floor room and they were very accommodating, and the room was considerably better, although the ice machine didn’t work."

"The staff were engaging and so friendly. The breakfast was really good. The rooms were clean and quiet. As a woman traveling alone safety was a priority for me. There was a lot of parking close to the front entrance so I had easy access to the hotel. I felt safe at all times."

"MOUSE FECES on the bed! Absolutely DISGUSTING - anyone valuing their health / safety should stay FAR AWAY! Was one of the only places left on Expedia on Memorial Day weekend, not the best reviews, but I thought how bad could it be for a night after Busch Gardens? I should have turned and ran when I pulled in the parking lot and saw vagrants that appeared to be living in this motel doing drugs in clear view on the sidewalk. Quickly rushed my kids inside, locked the door behind us and immediately noticed a pervasive smell of decades of stale cigarette smoke in this "non-smoking" room. We were tired and would just have to deal with it. Folded out the couch bed to discover the sheets and mattress pad had multiple stains and cigarette burn holes in them. Ugh, gross, but I had my own extra blankets I could use. Started stripping the linens and THERE IT WAS! On the mattress - DOZENS of mouse droppings and the mattress padding clearly chewed by rodents. HORRIFIC!! I could ignore a lot but for my children's health there is no way I could let them sleep on mouse feces!! I immediately packed them in the car and let the "front desk" know about the situation. They weren't apologetic and didn't seem to care and said Expedia would have to issue the refund. After hours on the phone with Expedia they denied my refund saying they couldn't reach this motel to verify we didn't stay there. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE -DO NOT STAY HERE! Expedia should be ashamed to even list this place on their site"
