Frequently asked questions

Can I book now and pay later for my car rental in Bermuda?
Expedia makes travel easier for everyone, so the answer is yes. Lock in your Bermuda rental vehicle with our Book Now Pay Later option and pay nothing until the day you pick up your wheels. While you're grabbing the keys, the car rental company will also place a hold on your credit card for the amount of the security deposit. Rather get your payment sorted immediately? It's easy to settle the bill at the time of booking too. Wherever you're headed, Expedia's quality rental vehicles are the perfect way to explore!
What happens if I need to cancel my Bermuda car reservation?
We understand that having a bit of wiggle room is important. That's why the majority of prepaid rentals provide a total refund if you notify us at least six hours before the scheduled collection time. It's a good idea to go through your policy though because there are some exceptions. If the info isn't there, head to our Customer Service Portal.
How do I find the best car rental deals in Bermuda with Expedia?
Check out customer ratings and reviews, choose your car class and compare offers from top brands. Expedia makes it easy to nab the best deal on your rental wheels. Combine your Bermuda car rental with flight or hotel bookings and hit the road with even more in your wallet.
How old do you have to be to rent a car in Bermuda?
Bermuda requires drivers to be at least 21 to be able to rent a vehicle. However, young drivers can expect an extra cost and some restrictions. Many outlets impose a daily young renter fee on top of the car rental rate. This covers the higher risk of accident or damage. While many car categories (like mid-size and compact) are available to young motorists, restrictions usually apply to specialty cars.
What do you need to rent a car in Bermuda?
You'll need to present your driver's license and a credit card in your name at the rental counter. Before pickup, check with your chosen rental company whether anything else is needed. For example, you may also need to provide proof of insurance.
Can I rent a car for a month or longer in Bermuda?
You can, and the good news is companies often offer lower rates the longer you rent. Look through our long-term car rental deals in Bermuda and cruise away with a real bargain.
Where can I find a Bermuda car rental if I am younger than 25?
Some Bermuda outlets will rent cars to drivers under 25 years of age, and others won't. Policies differ between suppliers, so you'll want to do some research. Also, find out if there are extra costs. Some places will pass on a surcharge to young drivers between the ages of 21 and 24. Be sure to read through the terms and conditions so you know what to expect.
