「I really enjoyed my stay. The location is convenient for the A303, but there was no traffic noise. The owner was very helpful giving onward travel directions. The room was cute and cosy, with everything needed for a stay. The bedding was very clean, and breakfast lovely. I really enjoyed my stay, and would use The Cottage again.」

「Good quiet location on the edge of Bridgwater looking out onto fields. Busy pub mid-week in April when we were there with people sitting out enjoying the weather. Good dinner and breakfast.」

「Do not stay in the tower suite - they do not clean the room before you check in. Bugs in the bed, on the floor, up the walls. You have to keep the light off to stop the bugs swarming you. Hairs in the bed. Room is like a sauna and way too hot to sleep in, regardless of how many fans the hotel gave you. The shower handle also gets stuck so the water can run into the bedroom. Normal rooms are ok - better than a hot, dirty room with bugs.」

「Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...

「UNIQUE!!!!!?? in room 7 to turn the light on over the mirror__rotate the bulb!!! I liked that. Double aspect room. Excellent. Everything was spotless. All fixtures and fittings in the room were top quality and imacculately installed. Excellent breakfast. To nit- pic, the toilet was set too high off the floor. One less robust pillow would have been nice. There seemed to be no lighting to the front of the building, maklng it difficult to locate in the dark. I would definitely stay again.」

「The room was very clean, hosts were lovely. Breakfast was amazing. Only downside to the stay was I like the window open at night and the church chimes on the half hour and on the hour, but ear buds are provided👍 we had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again…」
