「Nice place to stay - very convenient for events at Sparkford Hall as its walkable in 10 minutes - comfy family room which was spacious and had the essentials with a nice clean bathroom. Would stay again in the future as it was in quite a nice location.」

「A simple and modest country village pub with very friendly owners who took great pains to welcome and look after me. Arriving late, they had kept a good supper for me. The bedroom was large, clean and nicely old fashioned. The old church nearby chimed through the night but did not wake me. As I left before breakfast, the landlords left me a sandwich and apple. In no way smart and modern but with a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. 」

「What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home.」

「The room was very nicely presented, light and very cosy and warm. The staff were very helpful, kathy helped us out lots and assisted us with whatever we needed. Access to the pool and various spa activities was a good addition as well. Lovely place and well recommeded, will deffinetely stay again. 」

「The staff were very accommodating and hospitable. We were late arriving, rang to let them know an ETA (9.30pm) and enquired if they were still serving food, they informed us that they had stopped serving food around 8 pm, but that they would cook for us on arrival, which was ideal (particularly for a family of 4, all hungry and tired)! The food and beer were good. Couldn't fault it. The pub and accommodation are very characterful. Parts of the building are over 500 years old. It may not be for...

「Cleanliness was tops. Distance to Heathrow and ease of shuttle to the airport were great, but we expected it to be free. When we called to book, and ask about a shuttle, we found out it was available, but no one mentioned a per person fee....we had spent all our pounds so we wouldn't take any home to the states, and the driver didn't have change for a 20pound note, so we had to use a debit card. Minor annoyance, but...」
