We booked our stay at The Federal just because it looked nice and seemed like a good price. What we discovered was a wonderful and chic hotel with an extremely comfortable room in a completely remodeled hotel. We’ll definitely stay at The Federal again.

We booked a stay at the James Place Inn based on reviews that we read on a few travel sites. I can't even begin to express how well-deserved each and every one of those reviews actually is! Robin and Tori are incredible hosts, pleasant, friendly, easy to talk to, and made us feel right at home before we even got there! We drove up from NYC on a Friday afternoon and hit more traffic than we anticipated, so we called ahead to let the staff know we'd be late. Tori answered the phone and told us...

Mr Patel is so kind and welcoming. I was able to check in early since my room was ready. The parking lot is spacious and I’ve always gotten a space right in front of my room. The room is super clean as are the linens. The appliances looked new and I like the breakfast in the morning as well as getting up earlier to grab a coffee if I don’t want to make it in the room. I will stay again soon when I visit my son at Bowdoin. Also the location is perfect.

Going to the Harraseeket Inn is like time traveling, but with the option of taking a smart phone and having the electricity to charge it. It's like that movie, "Somewhere in Time," like you've walked through a time portal by the power of hypnotic suggestion and an Expedia booking. But it is very much, at the same time, part of the present. They have a pool, and the restaurant is quintessentially the definition of a timeless Maine eatery. We had an amazing stay at the Greenleaf Inn. Although we only stayed one night the owner was amazing and welcoming! He gave us the best local recommendations. We also slept so amazing as everything was clean in the room and the bed was so comfortable. 10/10 would recommend (and stay a little longer!)
