「Our hostess, Sophie has been excellent with local places of interest including some local restaurants. Our “villa” was very comfortable and fresh with a queen sized bed. Our stay was made very enjoyable, even the local patisserie/boulangerie were welcoming. We even bought some of Sophie’s porcelain 」

「The Novotel is modern, spotlessly clean, and in a fabulous location - an easy walk to everything. Our room was large and the bed comfortable. Plenty of storage for two. Be sure to go to the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate; it’s every night at 8pm. Walking along the ramparts was lovely - a mostly flat, shaded trail that runs for more than a mile around much of the city. 」

「Extremely warm welcome from Benoit to this spacious and comfortable house right opposite the Menin Gate in the centre of the town. The house is filled with memorabilia from the First World War. We were very pleased to join Benoit for the moving last post ceremony at the gate.」
