Family 1 night stay

We arribed after check in which was no problem as they had sent us instructions on how to enter and get to our room (even though i panicked as they were sent on the day of check in not before) the room was lovely and clean, large with a coffee maker! We only stayed one night but we wished we stayed longer! We came from Dover on the ferry to go to the theme park plopsaland near by but we really wished we could of made it a longer trip but we will be back! The

Nice, but some things coupd be improved.

Well situated modern hotel, friendly, helpful receptionist. Perhaps too few customer facing staff. The natural pool is a good idea, but it is unsafe because the surfaces are smooth and the algae makes them very slippery. Children must be closely supervised and adults must also be careful. The surfaces shouod be redone with a rough material to improve safety. The submerged sitting bench encourages children walk on it, but it js slippery and next to a sharp concrete edge. I am surprised this passed safety inspection. Also the key fob locked gate entry and exit to the pool area is inconvenient and perhaps unsafe. You cant get out without the fob. Similarly, the car parking key fob must be handed in at checkout before the car is driven out of the carpark, so one must blow the horn and hope someone opens the gate eventually. There was no table on the balcony of any of the rooms for some unknown reason. But all in all, We had a good time.

There was zero service. We saw no staff for the length of our stay. reception was closed throughout. Although breakfast is advertised as starting at 8am, when we arrived at the property and checked this we found out that breakfast had to be booked by 5pm the previous day. This was written in small type on a 'welcome' note. So no breakfast. The photos & description of the property imply that it is close to the beach. It isn't! Its at least 1/2 mile away across a busy road.

Envoi d'un mail car nous serions en retard pour la réception. Réponse directe et instructions précises pour prendre possession des lieux. Le lendemain, à la remise des clés, personnel sympathique. Les chambres sont en bon état, parfaitement acceptable et propre ( peut-être à faire un effort sur les vitres pour être pointilleuse).

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Leider hat uns das Zimmer insgesamt nicht ganz überzeugt. Sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, ein paar Bilder mehr hätten den weißen Wänden gut getan. Küche ist vorhanden aber es fehlt z.B ein Geschirrtuch. Da leider keine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist, ist man auf ein offenes Fenster für frische Luft angewiesen, warum verbaut man bei den 4 Fenstern hier nicht 1x mit fliegengitter ? Wäre aus unserer Sicht besser. Ebenfalls gibt es keinen konkreten Zimmerservice, was meiner Meinung automatisch enthalten sein sollte. Die Wände scheinen sehr dünn zu sein, weshalb es sehr hellhörig ist. Was vielleicht noch wichtig ist, zwischen 12 und 13 Uhr gibt es eine einstündige Pause, das sollte man bei Anreise ebenfalls berücksichtigen. (Checkin ab 15 Uhr) Insgesamt ist das Hotel aber modernisiert worden und die Lobby sieht wirklich klasse aus. Wir können das Hotel nur bedingt empfehlen. Das Frühstück für 20€ pro Person haben wir nicht getestet.

Fijn appartement vlakbij het strand. Interieur is wel toe aan een upgrade, alles was wel netjes. Al konden de tegels van de badkamer wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken. Afstand tot Westende is perfect en je bent ook zo bij de tram om de rest van de kust te bezoeken.

Fijn Beach hotel

Hotel west bay is een echt beach hotel. En dat ademt het ook uit. Het natuurzwembad is heerlijk om in te zwemmen en het strand ligt op een steenworp afstand. Ook leuke plaatsen zoals Nieuwpoort ligt vlak bij. Inchecken ging prima. Ik had eigenlijk maar 1 teleurstelling en dat was dat toen ik daar aankwam bleek er geen ‘hotelservice’ te zijn. Dus geen schoonmaak in de kamer en tegen betaling schone handdoeken. Niets mis mee, maar ik had dat niet vanuit hotels.com begrepen. Dat was fijner geweest
