「A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent.」

「The internet connection is unstable. Other than that, it’s great place to stay. Friendly and competent staff. Clean room. Great bar. The hotel is within talking distance to the Lancaster train station (ca. 13-15 min) and local bus stops (ca. 5 min.)」

「We love the breakfast freshly cooked from the menu, there’s continental from the buffet as well. Apparently need to do some improvements with the room conditions. The housekeeper didn’t get the rubbish from the bin inside the toilet for 2 days. Hotel located opposite to the sea with beautiful views. Free parking along the road after 6pm until 9am. There is public parking available around. On the average ok for the stay, spacious room.」

「After being told it is £5 per night to park i questioned this as it was not mentioned anywhere else. I was just ignored. Taken to room at top of hotel. 6 flights if stairs. What if I was not able. Never asked about my health. No AC or fans in room. Room overlooked another building full of seagulls that never stopped calling. Dead young on the roof. No shelves in bathroom for toiletries no hook on door for robes etc, dusty dirty windows. Breakfast was a joke. No cereals only 1 x type of drink...

「Stayed at the George Washington in room 6 on 15th July. Room very nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer provided flatscreen tv and nice shower and towels. Had our evening meal here to very nice chicken madras and the homemade steak pudding washed down with some nice red wine. Very nice breakfast here full English very tasty and cooked to perfection well worth a stay at the Washington. Old school brewery just behind and the start of the Warton crag walk giving great...
