Despite being above a very busy pub restaurant the room had no transmitted noise. It was very hot and the window opened directly onto the extractors for the kitchen which were very noisy.Eventually the extractors were turned off 11.30pm but switched on again at 6am.Good arrangements to access with dog out of hours.Shower and room decor very good.Reasonable place for one night with dog but not sure I would want a longer stay.Food in the restaurant looked very good.

The bar area was OK, but the room was tired and needed a lick of paint. You have to leave the hotel via the fire escape if you head off before 9am, which is quite novel. The beer garden is great as is the canal which is just outside of the beer garden.

Nice hotel well situated in the area. Comfortable room , however I couldn’t believe I was charged over £12 for a glass of wine in the bar. I wouldn’t expect to pay London prices in the north of England

A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent.

Very dirty room, the floor was covered in dust and debris, there was toothpaste splashed on the bathroom walls and hairs in the sink. The pub was lovely but the room cleanliness needs serious improvement.

During stay for 3 nights had 2 rooms due to lack of cleanliness. Staff were accommodating for change of room, however when speaking to the owner Jason he was rude and dismissive. Front desk staff were also unhelpful at check out. Access to rooms was very difficult before 9am or after 10pm as front door was not open and had to access via fire exit.
