「Cruising from Tilbury so looking to drive up from Bristol the day before and find a nearby B&B. Found the Campanile on Expedia based on price and distance. Read the reviews and thought "How bad can it be?" Well - not bad at all! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room for the night and extremely comfortable bed. Close to dual carriageway but we didn't notice any traffic noise. Evening meal a bit "ready-meal" but a great breakfast and late check-out if you want it. Will definitely stay again...

「We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Basildon thanks to the very friendly staff. The room was much bigger as we expected, nice, comfortable and very clean. 」

「This hotel is part of the Best Western Sure Collection. I have stayed here several times before and not been disappointed. I am delighted to say that this stay was no different but actually exceeded expectations. The staff on reception were so friendly and welcoming. I booked in for an evening meal. My room was around the back where there was additional parking in from of the lodge. My room was a suite with a proper full size, king size bed. There were welcome gifts on hand and the whole room...

「We enjoyed an overnight stay. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and there was a comfortable bed. We ate in the bar as the restaurant was closed on Sunday evening, but there was a full menu and the food was enjoyable. There was a standard, perfectly nice breakfast offering. The leisure facilities were stand-out. There was a very warm pool (probably better suited to leisure rather than fitness swimming, particularly if busy) with a really nice steam room and sauna. 「Though GPS directed our car to the tourist coach parking lot at the back, the hotel is just beside the motorway service centre with several restaurants in it. As customer of the hotel, we can buy £10 worth of coupon at £7.5 and the coupon can be used at nearby restaurant. The family room is also spacious, though the nearby gas station charges comparatively higher than other gas station 」

「Overall it's good. The service is excellent, and the room is cosy. But there was only one drawback which we met a private party. Therefore, the spa, Sunna cannot used as much as we can.」

「The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area.」
