"I stay at the Alex whenever I'm in Perth. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Comfortable, feels like home. Comfortable room. Wonderful common area to work in. Incredibly helpful and warm staff. 'Industrial Organic' vibe just feels so good. Small cautions: As a business traveler, I like a small room, but be aware they are small. The smallest rooms don't have closets. Breakfast is continental only - no protein, and while there are gluten free options, they are minimal. To me that doesn't matter because there are a million great places for brekkie nearby. These are incredibly minor tradeoffs for an otherwise ideal place to stay."

"The property was very neat and well maintained. Didn't like the buffet breakfast though. The hot food was not included in the buffet. Not as expected."

"The room was clean, if a little dated. Expected to see some water in the fridge, and maybe some toothpaste provided, but that wasn't the case. Bed was quite comfortable. Conveniently located near Perth CBD. Niggles - USB charger on the GPO didn't work, reception staff member threw my credit card on the bench instead of handing it back to me (I had handed it to him), and the bedside light turned on and off if you moved in bed - might have a loose connection somewhere. Little bit noisy with other guests banging doors, but which hotel doesn't have this issue?"

"I booked and received confirmation for two rooms, but on the morning of check-in the hotel app showed only one. Staff initially insisted there was only one booking and told me to contact Hotels.com myself. After a lot of effort, another staff member finally confirmed both rooms. Very frustrating experience and disappointing service."

"A swimming pool was a bonus even though it is outside and it was raining when we arrived. Still used the pool though. Bar and snacks good. Location great. Overall nice hotel"
