"Breakfast was not nice, bathroom had no extraction so steamed up very quickly, couldn’t find any heating in bathroom so it was cold "

"Rooms were ok and room but the shower wouldn't produce cold or even lukewarm water, only scalding. Staff were very lovely and actually served breakfast to us when we arrived very slightly late. Pretty good overall."

"This would have got a 5 star review had there not been any redecorating going on, leaving corridors dark and smelly. Will be great at the end of it though. Standard room clean and spacious, large tv and immaculate bathroom. The shower was amazing. Ate and drank at the hotel. Food was delicious and drinks reasonably priced. Don’t forget to tell staff if you are staying at the hotel as you’ll get 25% discount on all food. Plenty of parking, free at weekends. Only there one night but a lovely stay. Will use again if in the area particularly if I can get it at the same price - £58 per room for a Saturday is an absolute bargain! "

"The receptionist was fantastic - warm, welcoming and so helpful! The room was basic, but good quality for money and lovely carpet! The bed was comfortable- I had the best nights sleep, I didn’t want to get out. It had everything you could ask for! "

"The hotel has been photographed well, but in reality the hotel has become a bit dated and worn around the edges. The jacuzzi was not working and the pool temperature was cold. Tiles missing in the steam room, and left broken on the floor. The ladies pool changing room showered were dirty with numerous large chunks of grit on the floor. I alerted the staff and though they apologised did not appear to leap into action to rectify the issue. The room I stayed in was missing any bathroom door hooks so my towel got soaked when the water leaked from the shower tray, onto a floor which has clearly been damaged from previous leaks with cracked grout. Bathroom also had dirty and mildly rusty towel radiator. Mattress was acceptable but had seen better days as the did the base of the bed which just looked battered. Food was acceptable but overpriced given the quality. The staff were polite and courteous and the views lovely, but overall I wouldn’t recommend to others. "

"Room not the cleanest, false fingernail and tissue left by the side of the bed and thick dust on the top of the oak beam. Breakfast was excellent but the table was very sticky. Bedroom front door did not close properly and let a large of cold air into the room"

"Extremely disappointed with my stay. The room was clearly not cleaned before my arrival; there were stains on the carpet and dust everywhere. Worst of all was the overpowering smell of stale smoke and mildew that hit me the second I walked in. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. "
