「This was very much a last minute job, we were travelling home from 2 days in that London and were worn-out. This was in fact the only place we could find that wasn't either booked up or cost outrageous money. Although, the directions link on the Expedia app took us to the middle of nowhere so we had to phone the lovely people at the hotel for help. When we got there we were surprised it was a much bigger and better place than we expected. Would definitely go again.」

The roads accessing it may be a little windy & tight but Ayot is such a beautiful area it is worth the trip. 「The Riffle Volunteer, is a lovely old English Pub, The Manager, and The Staff, are Fantastic!! And went above and beyond. The Rooms are Clean, but basic and could do with a lick of paint to freshen their up. But apart from that it's a charming little tradition pub. The outside garden is lovely, and there is parking, but it's a small car park. But i loved it. 」

「A lovely quirky hotel close to Hertfordshire University. Many food places close by however, the onsite restaurant was delicious and the staff friendly, polite and welcoming. The rooms were generous sized and well equipped for our stay. We would definitely return. 」

「I booked two rooms, but the staff could arrange two adjacent rooms for me. One was at 1/F, one at G/F. It sounded non-professioinal service when they did not consider such factors. Totally disappointed.」

「I was given a room on the ground floor which was set out for a disabled person as were most of the other GF rooms. I’m sorry but this was not suitable it felt like staying in an old folks home and I had booked 3 nights. When I asked for a room change I was told the hotel was fully booked, I was not happy with this as I had paid approximately £90.00 a night to stay in a hospital room. I’m not very happy and won’t return to this hotel 」
