Belmar Inn was a really nice stay right half a block from the beach. I know this is the Inn's last year, but despite that, it was super clean, the staff were really nice and helpful, and the bagel-donut-coffee breakfast was a nice surprise, and much appreciated. (The coffee was available throughout the whole day so that was AWESOME.) Thanks so much for welcoming our family, it was a great weekend.

Definitely a "place to sleep" hotel. Will say the rooms were clean. The TV wasn't working, the lamp on the night stand didn't work either. The bed was surprisingly comfy and clean. Feels like a very bang for your buck hotel if you were to spend a single night at the beach. Location is perfect to everything. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

Older beach hotel a block from Belmar beach. This location combined with the price makes it a great choice. That said, this is not a resort-style/high service place. Key plusses are the price, easy walking distance to a great beach, pleasant and helpful staff, and free on-street parking. The staff is very pleasant and quick to help. Our room had a fridge, and there are microwaves available in the common area downstairs as well as an ice machine and games. The common area porch is large with a mix of chairs and newer couches. The area is quiet with a Dunkin' Donuts and other food and shopping options within walking distance. At this price be sure to manage expectations. Rooms are simply appointed and bathrooms are small. The window air conditioner sometimes struggled to keep up with the July heat and was quite loud, not an issue for us but might be for others. The hot water was great but water pressure could use a boost. The bath towels could use an upgrade but were offered in plenty. Complimentary shampoo and soap was provided. We stayed for 5 days and only put out the "clean room" sign once but the room was cleaned quickly and well. Overall the carpets and some bath fixtures could use an upgrade but all were clean and functional. The card-based keys were fussy but staff was good about replacing them. It would be great if there was a long term plan to upgrade things like the AC and door locks over the next 3-5 years. We had a great time and would return.

This is an excellent value especially for solo travelers who wish to be close to the beach. It’s not a luxury hotel but location is excellent and the staff (owner?) is always friendly and helpful . I love having this affordable option and plan to come again.
