「Die Auffahrt und das gesamte Anwesen wirken auf den ersten Blick sehr imposant und hochwertig. Leider trügt der erste Eindruck etwas, denn bei genauerem Hinsehen entspricht das Erlebnis nicht ganz den Erwartungen, die das Erscheinungsbild weckt. Unser Zimmer war hingegen schön eingerichtet und sauber. Allerdings wurden gegen Mitternacht die Außenstrahler des Gebäudes eingeschaltet, die direkt in unser Zimmer leuchteten. Da die Vorhänge nicht bis zur Decke reichten, drang viel Licht ins Zimmer...

「The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs 」

「The staff were very nice and helpful, however the facility was old and in a bit of disrepair, which can be charming if the price were not so high. Pitlochry is a wonderful but expensive little town so this was not unexpected.」

「Friendly staff (and locals!) no lift (but I knew that) but pleasant and (considering how near the A9 is) very peaceful room. A good breakfast to send me on my way…」

「Lovely little annex, amazing space for the money and great location. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfasts were nice, quick - the porridge is delicious. Only complaints are the fridge was dirty and there’s no blind over the glass at the door and the street lamp light gets through when you’re trying to sleep. Would stay again!」

「I had a one night stay and needed basic accommodation, this sufficed. If staying be aware, I hadnt realised check in is before 7pm unless you advise (it was on the literature I just hadn't read it). My only hesitation to stay again is all the locks are electronically operated, and no one is on site. To feel safer as a lone traveller I would prefer to have a chain, or internal lock to the door in addition, in case the electrics failed at night and my room door would effectively be open.」

「The property was beautiful but a little of town. Very limited taxi/cabs available therefore one has to ensure that they are organized and pre-book transportation. The staff was extremely accommodating and very polite and helpful」
