「Friendly staff (and locals!) no lift (but I knew that) but pleasant and (considering how near the A9 is) very peaceful room. A good breakfast to send me on my way…」

「The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs 」

Loved the high pressure insta hot water & super comfy bed. Great location for walking to dinner each night. And it was the perfect home base for day trips to Dunnottar Castle, Balmoral, Blair Castle & Glamis Castle for the Highland Games. The gardens and view from the house are gorgeous. 「What a wonderful hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for you. The bar downstairs was perfect to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. Will definitely be back. 10/10」
