Nancy, our host, was wonderful. Made us comfortable immediately and has a beautiful home. Our morning breakfast was cooked to order from our large menu options. Definitely stay again.

Wunderschönes Guest House und Nancy ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin. Wir hatten einen tollen Blick von der oberen Etage und das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Wenn es uns mal wieder in das malerische Städtchen verschlägt, werden wir wieder versuchen hier unterzukommen.

Our stay in Pitlochry was exceptional. The accommodation was excellent, with comfortable, high-quality rooms and a delicious full Scottish breakfast each morning. The hosts were incredibly warm, friendly, courteous, and welcoming, making us feel at home throughout our stay. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to Scotland. Five stars simply don’t seem enough to reflect the experience we had. The genuine hospitality, outstanding service, and attention to detail were beyond anything we have experienced, even at many luxury five-star hotels.

Nancy and Scott were very very accommodating, especially as we fell foul of a Calmac glitch which resulted in our being hours behind schedule. We needed to resolve all sorts of things en route by email & text. It was such a relief to arrive to a lovely welcome after a hard day’s slog from the Outer Hebrides. The room was great, well equipped and very comfortable. The bed was so, so comfortable. Then breakfast was not only well presented but also delicious. This is one to return to - or not to miss.

This was a wonderful guest house. The house decor was pretty, the breakfast was great, the host was welcoming, the bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure and was very easy to get the perfect temperature. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were there 6 nights & it is by far the BEST guest house we’ve ever experienced. The house is the perfect mix of being historic but also updated, so it feels fresh. Loved the high pressure insta hot water & super comfy bed. Great location for walking to dinner each night. And it was the perfect home base for day trips to Dunnottar Castle, Balmoral, Blair Castle & Glamis Castle for the Highland Games. The gardens and view from the house are gorgeous. As was the beautiful high quality breakfast each morning, that started the day off right. Lastly, I’ll share that Nancy & Scott are amazingly warm & gracious hosts, and very generous sharing their local knowledge. Many thanks for a beautiful time & memory at The Poplars.
