"Beautiful property and very clean. The staff is amazing, Zoe at the front desk was very helpful with local recommendations and explaining the accommodations. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety and is very tasty. I highly recommend staying here."

top of the line quality of suite materials and amenities as usual by Peninsula;
breakfast can be improved;
great concierge service;
friendliness of staff;
2 restaurants seems to be not enough for such a big institution

Rosewood Beijing once again proved itself as my current best hotel option in the City. Having stayed at around 30 hotels in Beijing, this is the winner. Location is extraordinarily important in Beijing and this is perfectly central regardless of what you’re in town for. The rooms are phenomenal, food and service is good and Red Bowl is a mighty fine hotpot restaurant connected to the hotel which is well worth an evening’s commitment. The epic swimming pool is among the nicest in China and should...

Location is great. Walking distances to breakfast, shopping and more. However, we were disappointed on cleanliness for the room. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. however, we saw blood stain in bathtub, and it were there all 3 nights we stayed..

The hotel is perfect for both business and family travelers for its locatiom, amenities, etc., but for the best stay, contact CECILIA, the hotel concierge, before departing for the hotel bc she IS FANTASTIC (!!!) and really made all of the difference in our stay. She will arrange all of your transportation to/from the airpot and hotel, suggest and arrange any activities, make resrvations to restaurants and venues, and ensure every facet of your stay is perfect. We stayed here for one night, the check in was easy, especially with Liam helping us, he is very professional, knowledgeable and caring, he also speaks very good English which made it easy. He ordered our taxi for the morning ride to the airport. Thank you Liam!

It was 1 am, and after being sent to a different hotel for my layover (reserved by the airline), and finding it inhospitable (mice/rats/mosquitos/roaches!!!)...I went onto travelocity and found the Kempinski hotel and within minutes booked it and took a taxi there....it was a complete turnaround from the previous hotel!!!! I was so exhausted from my long travel, and the staff was so friendly, and helpful--the kind of customer service that is rare to find these days! I will always book here at...

This hotel is definitely in a strange location. Not only is in a small lane (like a hutong sized lane), the road to the lane has a "no hired car" sign, so some paranoid taxi and DiDI drivers did not want to drive down the street. We walked most of the time to the next street ("XiaoWei Hutong"?) to get our DiDi.
I read somewhere else that this is a great hotel of domestic Chinese travelers, and I have to agree. It's not winning any awards for modern design or new amenities. But it is...

On checking in, we were told that we were booked in the Garden Tower, which was an old structure from 1987 and showed its age, and were encouraged to upgrade to the Valley Tower, that was only a few years old. I was surprised at such a significant disparity in the condition of the two towers, especially at the Shangri-la. I am glad we upgraded as the rooms in the Valley Tower are spacious and well appointed. From a walk-in closet to a bathroom with a TV built into the mirror, there are a lot...

Amazing service! The facility is definitely dated and could use updating/renovation, but very well kept still. Top 2 hotels I’ve stayed at in China so far.

I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Trainee Cindy Lv for the outstanding service and support he provided to my parents. Cindy Lv assisted them with check-in and patiently answered all their questions. They couldn’t have been happier with their stay. Cindy was incredibly kind, attentive, and detail-oriented. I’m truly grateful for his help in making my parents’ experience such a pleasant one.
