The location was perfect, a ~6 minute drive from downtown Bar Harbor. Very nice grounds, quiet and a very clean room. The bed was firm, and the shower was hot. Grace, the gal at the desk was amazing! She gave us excellent insight to the area and was just a gem. She was so accommodating, when we asked for an extra blanket, instead of burning up all the propane, she just nailed it and gave us two! She was so gracious and helpful. Our room was a bit old and rustic but with a hot shower, firm bed, a mini fridge to hold my beer- it was perfect for us. For all the dog lovers, there was a nice fenced-in area for your paws and with chairs for you to sit and watch. Thank you, Grace!

Everything was great about this place except the beds. Room 7 & 8 it was like sleeping on a box spring mattress. Unfortunately, the office had already closed so I was not able to ask for blankets or another room. I did make a comment to the staff the next day and she said it was under new management and hopefully the mattresses would be changed out by next season.

We had an issue with a different place and needed one additional night in this area. Gallaher had one open cabin. We actually liked this place better than our original place. The cabins were clean and spacious. The owner was incredibly helpful. I wish we had booked this place originally. We would definitely stay here again.

This is the absolute worst lodging! It is an overpriced dump that is grossly misrepresented online. I wish I could give zero stars because they don’t deserve even one! I booked a cabin for my honeymoon for 3 days, but upon arrival, was told all the cabins were full so I had a small room in a dingy, bug-infested, moldy, musty, uncomfortable motel. When I saw the horrible condition of my room, I did NOT want to stay here & asked for a refund to find another hotel. The desk clerk was rude, refused a refund, and not helpful. I went to another reputable hotel but still had to pay this place the price of a night’s stay plus taxes & fees! Avoid this place!!!

I’m not sure if ALL the cabins come with a resident chipmunk who wakes you up after midnight rummaging through your backpack…we learned the hard way to keep snacks inside the fridge and microwave.

Clean and good price

The room was clean and comfortable. I was a bit surprised to be told my room was unlocked, with the key inside. Also no safety locks(only doorknob lock). Being right next to a major road, would have liked the extra security. Odd floor chair, almost looked like a gaming chair crossed with a recliner...very uncomfortable. We were only there one night. Large refrigerator, kitchen sink and microwave would be great for someone staying longer.

We stayed in one of the cabins- was not aware that to get ice or anything from the office, you need to cross a fairly busy street. Our door to the cabin did not latch, once locked it could be pushed open. The bathroom was dingy, the shower was dirty, the dirty water from the sides was pooled down at the bottom and I needed to rinse it out before getting in. Was glad when our stay was done.

We only stayed for one night, we arrived late and they made late check in very easy! It was a safe, convenient location to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We would’ve stayed another night but they were booked! I think pricing could be a little bit cheaper but with it being such a popular touristy area, we get it. Would definitely stay again! Recommend it to anyone for a quick stay or even a longer stay as long as you’re okay with just a microwave and mini fridge. Everything was very clean!

Great location with comfortable beds

Beds were very comfortable. The large, walk-in shower was very nice with good water pressure, but the shower head had streams of water that almost stung my skin. There's no heat or A/C in the bathroom, so it can be cold in the morning if the bathroom door is closed. There was some mold around the edges of the shower and some of the walls where they met the ceiling. The service was very good. The location is great.

The little cabin we stayed in was very smelly. The smell was bad when we first walked in, but either got better or we got used to it. We did buy some Febreze and sprayed it thoroughly. We also had a mouse come out at night time. There are many places around to stay that look significantly better.
