"2 of the lamps has damaged lampshades, there was water damage on the ceiling, the baseboard over the window was just a piece of painted plywood, the furniture itself was clearly old and previously damaged, the curtains were frayed in spots, the shower head has algae on it, the sink shelving was splintering in one spot"

"King room with balcony. Room 201 had a beautiful water view.... the rest of the room was terrible. Mattress was turned up at the corners. Visible lumpy mattress ... like it looked like kids were hiding in the bed. Asked about switching rooms but there were no other rooms available. I had an event to attend so i had to make it work. Drain in tub kept closing thus water pooling while showering. Fast forward to the next morning, we were tired & sore from sleeping on lumps. The balcony door didn't have a screen for fresh air without bugs coming in the balcony didnt feel safe in several spots, especially right out side the threshold.... the floor buckled & felt soft like you could fall threw. I spoke to several staff who kept saying there was nothing they could. I called again to speak to a manager yet they are never available. Very upset about the quality of the room. "

"Front desk staff was great - very friendly and helpful. I was a little frustrated by the free shuttle; I was coming in on the train and called about 5 minutes before I got to the train station to request the shuttle. I was told I had to call back when I got off the train. So I did and then had to wait 15-20 minutes for the shuttle to come get me. It would have been great if the shuttle had been dispatched when I called. Also would have been great if the driver hadn't been texting/on his phone the entire time he was drivign back to the hotel. "

"The room was clean and the staff was nice however the bathroom needs a major upgrade. The tub and knobs were below average. The bed was comfortable. There is curtain that separates the closet however it needs to be swapped out with a door or nothing at all because it can be a little scary entering a room with a curtain in front of it. The hotel hallways smelled stale and needs a deep cleaning or change of carpet to get rid of the smell. The hotel holds a lot of history however it needs cosmetic upgrades. It’s a beautiful hotel. "
