「Overnight stay for a gig at Powderham Castle. Great hotel just off the motorway spotlessly clean, modern with super friendly staff. Rooms are lovely, functional and quiet. Spacious bathroom and wonderfully comfortable beds. Light and airy communal areas and a large outdoor seating area with table service for the bar/restaurant. Fab buffet breakfast too. Whilst I don’t think there’s much within walking distance it suited our needs perfectly and would 100% stay here again.」

「One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. It’s a lovely traditional hotel building (1920s shall we say?) which has been beautifully renovated and refurbished. Both the big picture and the small details are delightful. Staff service was friendly with a real sense of team and purpose. I haven’t mentioned the small outdoor pool (constant 27c) or hot tub simply because I didn’t use them this time! I can’t remember what I paid for my one-night visit but it was a bargain, and I would be very happy to...

「We loved our stay with you. The hotel was so well kept and so clean everywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and airy. I like the touch of water provided each day and the small packets of biscuits. We loved sun bathing by the swimming pool ,but some of the sunbeds could do with a good clean, which only takes seconds with a pressure washer. 「Lovely vintage hotel full of character and if you book the sea view rooms they’ve got the best views out onto the bay that you’ll get in Torquay.Nice spacious bar area staff friendly and drinks reasonably priced,would stay again.」

「Our room 172 was clean, spacious and included an en-suite walk in shower. Breakfast included English style cooked , yogurt & berries, cereals, fruits, toast with all jams, marmite and honey. mini pastries were also available. We ate in the dining room and from the bar menus. Staff were very professional, kind and gave service with a smile. To note Mel from the Spa was fantastic, we had x2 full hour treatments each 」
