「Nice bathr」

「We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. The location was perfect for a day trip to nearby Oban, which should not be missed, particularly for the seafood and Oban Distillery tour. In our room, the shower attachment distinegrated, the bathroom fan did not work, the toilet seat was broken, the electric face plate for the towel rail was smashed, the bathroom door had had 2 big holes filled, the carpet was stained. The entire hotel is run down and needs a full refurbishment. Outside, the beer garden has a fake rolled out lawn, cut badly around the edges with trip hazards. Avoid the restaurant. I ordered steak pie and mash. What I got was some meat in a dish...

「George hotel locates in a lovely town with good scenery. Our room is big and clean. We spent a couple of good nights our room and it’s nice restaurant. 」

「The property was nice but felt like any little “extra” came at a cost. Hot Tub? You had to pay per person for 30 minutes. Have not seen that before. No laundry facilities as advertised and cake in drawing room was added to invoice on check out. Nice property but be aware of extras. 」

「Both elevators were out at one point, the staff couldn’t check me in even minutes earlier than the 3pm guideline,and the whole ‘meal thing’ felt weird about inclusions or exclusions. Pay to park (but only 10 pounds) for two nights - but still…great location for rail or ferry, but the staff couldn’t check use an upgrade. PS. Why are the damn hallways so narrow to your room? I could barely get by a maids cart…seems like the fire regulations would be wider. Narrowest I have ever seen in any hotel....

「An absolute gem of a property - from rooms, bar, dining room and staff. Wonderful breakfasts prepared each morning. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a dinner there as well. Chef is very talented! The views of boats in the bay and the shoreline of Oban are spectacular from this property. Highly recommend.」

「I very much appreciated the personal welcome, not just receiving access codes via a text. Janet, the manager, was very welcoming and exceptionally friendly. The room and the house were clean and had a warm flowery scent. I was lucky to have been given a room with a direct view to the sea. This made it even more pleasurable to sit in the armchair and drink my morning coffee and night drink. 「We had a fantastic minimoon at Crinan!! Food is 11/10. Staff 11/10! Location is absolutely stunning. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We had a room with a balcony and the views are out of this world. The boat trip on Ross Ryan’s boat The Sgarbh was incredible. We saw seals and Sea Eagles and sailed around the islands. This hotel is a true Scottish gem!」
