The staff at the hotel was really friendly but if you have issues with lifting luggage it may be a problem getting up the stairs . We were not told when the breakfast was over so when we arrived at 950 am it was over and was only given toast and juice and coffee . We really enjoyed the supper as there was only one other place that was open in the village near by pier which was already booked for the night . The stay was really quite in the hotel which was also another plus but the beds were not the most comfortable which it would help if they had a topper on the mattress .

Dinner was fabulous, beds comfy and pet friendly. Rooms were nicely decorated and the sauna in the room was brilliant. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Despite some negative reviews we found our room recently refurbished clean comfortable with the bonus of our own Sauna, Food was fresh and very nice Staff and Management very friendly and helpful which helped make a very nice stay

Really enjoyed our stay at The Grey Gull Hotel. The hotel is a little dated in places, but our room was clean and spacious with a nicely renovated bathroom. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, including with our dog. Food was tasty and reasonably priced too. Great value for money and we’d stay again.

Checked into our first room, toilet flush inop and a washing up bowl on the side with the toilet fixings hanging off. Reported to reception who moved us to another room with a sauna, sauna did not work, horrendous noise from the kitchen fans and no sea view which we had upgraded to. Back to reception for a second time and had to argue to get moved room again. Third room was terrible, smelt damp, curtains hanging off, paint peeling off walls and cracks in windows. Only upside was the food was nice and the bar staff incredible.

The rooms seemed okay until we moved back the duvet and found stains and dog hairs the duvet itself was very badly stained we went and told the guy on the desk who didn’t care he took the duvet away to change it but came back with an even worse one

We stayed in the sauna room which was recently refurbished, staff were incredibly rude and inattentive, food was microwaved ready meal at best. The room itself was fine, shower was broken. The sauna was nice although it smelled incredibly unclean. I definitely would not recommend staying here. 0 atmosphere either. Also the hot tub was broken which was not communicated to us until we arrived honestly AVOID.

Our Dog was welcomed. Very friendly and approachable staff, our room was as expected clean and exactly what we required as being disabled, on the ground floor and a walk in shower. We had no problems getting there, and being there, staff were excellent and attentive, Especially Gavin GM. Dale HM, and Pete the Executive Chef. Other staff were friendly and helpful too. We had a great stay.

Good location comfortable stay

We stayed for two nights at this Loch front hotel. Food was good breakfast and evening meal. Close to small town centre with Crinan canal to rear.
