「The hotel owners/hosts, Sharon and John were very welcoming and friendly including Sharon offering to drive me to a local restaurant and later coming back to collect me. The Continental breakfast was generous, varied and more than enough to satisfy and set you up for the day! When I am next in that area, I’ll certainly book to stay at the Ashbank and shall make the recommendation for others to do so too!」

「I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional. The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. 「A classic Scottish Castle Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and gorgeous surroundings. Wildlife on your doorstep. Rooms show some evidence of age (if you are picky about stuff like that), but it's an old Scottish Castle hotel... You want it to feel like an old Scottish Castle, don't you, and it absolutely does. 」
