This is a B&B place and we were in the house portion. We knew it was twin beds coming in but the mattresses were a bit bouncy. GREAT property!!!

The room itself was very nice. But, the room had an emergency exit door that was located right next to the bed area and the street noise from that door was awful. It sounded like we were on the street. Breakfast was delicious and staff were great. Would be a 5 if not for the street noise.

The Black Walnut Inn is located in a nice walk-in environment, and the breakfast was very delicious. Information such as nearby restaurants and places to visit provided by the Black Walnut Inn was very helpful to me. I would like to visit again.

I wish I had known about this place earlier as my daughter has graduated from University of Massachusetts and is moving away from Amherst, but I highly recommend the black walnut Inn if you’re in Amherst for any reason!!

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and found this gem on hotels.com. It was a great spot, perfect location, and loved the vibe of a farmhouse turned into an Inn. Hot breakfast made to order was fantastic. Room was spotless and spacious. Bathroom was immaculate as well.
