Nice stopover hotel
"Great stopover hotel outside of Alnwick, just off the A1. The rooms are very generous in size with comfortable beds. Staff were helpful with regards to breakfast as there was a large group staying as well."

"Lovely room location great. The only complaint is the housekeeping as coffee wasn’t replenished at all and the water on one day. Bed wasn’t made at all. The Joiners Arms was nice breakfast on the last day was a bit short staffed as was busy and only one person serving and items needed replenishing ..."

"Really enjoyed our time here. The staff were very friendly and the room very comfortable. Food was excellent with large portions - very glad we chose the Hope and Anchor and would stay here again."

Mar 25, 2019The only benefits of this town are the castle which has seasonal hours so make sure you check their website before going and Barter Books. Other than that the town has limited options for food and fun.
