「Bathroom in room smelled like a porta potty and the room had a foul odor. Desk receptionist talked on personal call in speaker phone the whole check in process and said 5 words to me during check in.」

「Everything was clean and everyone was very nice. The kids enjoyed the pools and hot tub and it has great beach access. Our room was cleaned each day and we recieved new towels each day. Overall this is a very well managed, but dated, hotel.」

「Nice staff, great location, but the place is full of mosquitos, all kinds of bugs, and even snake... Can't feel the safety after seeing that and checked out quickly... 」

「Cute little dormer had everything we needed. Much more than a “room rental.” Owners very helpful and anxious to please. Abundance of info given on surrounding areas and dining. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dining options they recommended. We should have paid more attention to the detail that renters need to climb 3 sets of stairs. We did not have a problem with that (other than ground or second floor would have been easier) or but others may. A good experience for us. 」

「My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful.」
