Room was clean but food left over in the microwave tht had a horriable smell in room..i informed the front desk she just gave me spray and said someone had just checked out at 10 am..i doupt it cause they wud have smelled the rotten food..fridge didnt work..and toilet gurgled all not like it was backed up..deff find a better motel or place to stay..front desk could have cared less..

We stayed here primarily for the location and the price point, and on that front, it delivered. The spot is great for exploring Outer Banks, and for a budget stay, we went in with reasonable expectations. A few things were genuinely fine — the bathroom, while small, was clean. The bedding and wash basin were tidy and well-kept. The furniture also looked relatively new. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise — fewer options, but freshly prepared and tasty, which felt very fitting for the price point. That said, the overall condition of the space was disappointing. The floors were the biggest concern — they appeared to have never received a deep clean, well beyond what routine maintenance could address. We noticed dirt accumulating on our feet just from walking around the room, and when we wiped the floor with a towel, it turned completely black. This is not the kind of dirt that builds up over a day or two — it felt like years of buildup that had simply never been addressed. The kitchen also felt dated and rundown. Notably, there was no garbage disposal in the sink, and only one stovetop burner was functional — and even that wasn’t properly fitted. If you’re traveling on a tight budget and the location is your top priority, this place can work for you — just go in with eyes open. However, if you have a little more flexibility in your budget, I’d recommend spending a bit more for a cleaner, better-maintained space, especially if you’re traveling with young children.

The location is great, pleasant staff, and has a nice old school vibe. I really like the place, it just needs some attention like updates in the room soap/shampoo dispensers the scent isn’t pleasant to me and hit or miss if empty, not enough towels provided and no wash cloths but easily available from the front desk, the phones do not work in the rooms, tv needs upgrading was unable to use my Amazon Firestick, and the interior side of the door to the room had wood paneling torn off and water damage at the bottom: however, we really liked the keyless room entry. I’ve stayed twice now off season and liked it, but I have asthma and the hardest part is the cigarette and marijuana smoke seeped into the room although they’re supposed to be non smoking rooms.

This hotel is great for a low priced room at the beach. Unfortunately the sink was leaking, the main light in the room didn’t turn on and the phone to the front desk didn’t work and the beds were uncomfortable. It’s great for a quick trip to the beach.

It was okay. You do get what you pay for. The location is excellent. We were supposed to be on the first floor and when we went into the room it was NOT ready so we went back and got upgraded to another room in the second floor. The room head ocean view so that was nice. During one of the days the hot water went out but we called and they said they’re working on it and indeed that was fixed quickly (or at least quickly after we noticed it). The breakfast was okay everyday the same. The coffee was sooo good for some reason but the juices were so warm. I wish they made it more clear that the pool is not open yet because it was warm even though off season. Oh btw. The walls are thin. There was a baby crying 24/7 in one of the rooms and it didn’t bother me that much but there definitely might be people who would surely be annoyed

We asked for a room with an ocean view. Our room (suite) was on the second floor facing the dunes/ocean. I was greeted with a magnificent view of the ocean waves and the sun rising out of the water while I drank coffee comfortably from the couch in my room. It was just what I needed.

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The suite was clean and clise to the ocean. The only issue is the tv kept shutting off. When I called they said something was broke and to be fixed monday.
