Staff was kind. Our room had some cleanliness issues and the TV didn't work. We asked for assitance with the TV, but it was never resolved. Breakfast was a bit cold/undercooked. It seems as if one staff member was trying to handle the desk and breakfast.

We drove through Alanson, but there wasn't much to draw us to stop there.
Nice little town
Dinner at the Alanson Depot was excellent.
Great place to stay if your looking for a northern lodge experience. Twenty acres along Crooked River with trails and kayaks to use. Large fire pit in back of lodge which faces river. Easy drive to several northern attractions. Reasonably priced.
Alanson has quite a few dining options now, as well as a Subway and a Dairy Queen. It’s not far to a big grocery store. Petoskey is the next city for fun shopping and beautiful scenery, and fun eateries.
