「What a wonderful place to stay! We were delayed in our travels and arrived after the kitchen had closed. The staff were very kind and accommodating and made us a lovely dinner. The food was exceptional! Additionally our room was terrific with a great shower. We will definitely return to do some hill walking nearby. Only wish we had stayed longer!」

「The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom could do with some updating. Several significant cracks in the walls and evidence of water leaks around the heated towel rail and over bath shower head was leaking water out when running the bath taps. We only had one night so not really an issue for us.」

「The few lovely staff are coping with a sadly run down building which must have been magnificent in its day. There is no longer a restaurant or bar and the drive has huge poorly filled pot holes. Such a shame」

「Loved the position of the hotel , on the canal so we could walk along the to-path into the centre , which was a short walk . You could see the canal boats go by. The room was clean , well maintained & very comfortable . Daily maid service was extremely efficient . We had a problem with the television which was dealt with as soon as we informed the staff. Breakfast was great, my husband had the full Yorkshire breakfast which he said was brilliant , I had continental , there was lots of choice &...

「Perfect bolthole. It feels like stepping into a nicer universe. We stayed in a yurt again, and admittedly, the ensuite is rustic and chilly as you would expect but the main yurt was cosy and luxe even when the weather was cold. Staying on a Thursday night meant food was available and live entertainment!」

「Booked it as we were in the middle of a heatwave, Advertised with Air conditioning, Blatant lie sadly. it doesn't exist. 'We cant issue a refund' Need to speak to OVO. OVO have no clue what they're doing, money lost, lesson learnt. Moved to next hotel same night.」

The decor in the room was beautiful and it was very clean with plenty of tea making facilities including ‘proper’ mugs and a teapot with tea cosy which was a lovely extra. However the room was very, very small and it did not have any drawers or wardrobe to store clothes (there was a small rail in the corner with four hangers to hang a few items). The en-suite was also very small but it was supplied with lovely White Company...
