「Esteban welcomed us on our 1 night stay when we arrived in our room. I've never stayed at a property like this. It's like a bed and breakfast except you make your own breakfast with whatever they have in the kitchen. The property has a warm, homey feel to it. It has a nice little patio inside where you can get some fresh air without stepping out into the street. 「Grds. tolle Unterkunft. Das "Iglu" war echt toll. Leider reicht der Vorrat an Warmwasser nicht und die Badewanne auf einmal zu füllen. Eher auf dreimal. Die Mitarbeiter waren OK, aber jetzt nicht hoch bemüht. Die Lage zum Poas Vulkan geht nicht besser」

The location is remote (which is the point of booking - for that tree canopy experience) and windy drive, so...

「We stayed at the Berlin on our way back to Canada. Spotless room. Really lovely, helpful staff. She booked us an airport taxi for very early the next morning. They were up when we were leaving at 5 am and gave us coffee and a take-out breakfast. We will stay there on our next visit.」
