"I was hesitant at first, this being my first experience staying at a hostal. After the first night, I decided to extend for the complete duration of my trip. Showers aren't super spacious, but they do their job and facilities seem to be kept up and cleaned well. They apparently have two kitchens, which one was under renovation. I budgeted for eating out, so I didn't use it, yet I saw plenty of people using it comfortably. There seems to be an area for all you need: a cafeteria like seating area with high chairs, a lounge if you need to do some reading or work, and the charmig patio seems to be where everyone wants to hang out and get together. Your own bed has your own light, charging stations, and a curtain for privacy. So it was still comfortable to do whatever you need if everybody else is asleep and you don't want to be a bother. Privacy is a luxury, but I quickly decided I didn't need it that much when you compare the prices to a and actual, reliable hotel."
"Completely worth the cost. Easy to park on the street nearby. Neighborhood is not full of as much stuff to do as other parts of New York. But they are easy to get to."
"This hotel was nice and clean and a quiet haven in a busy neighborhood. It is within walking distance of Yankee Stadium and quite close to the Green Number 4 train line. The staff was friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was good. There was parking onsite, but since we did not use it, I don’t know details on that. "
