「Room was clean and had everything we needed, with the nice addition of some balloons and a birthday message on our return after a day out for our daughter, having told them why we were there on arrival. Staff really helpful throughout. Last minute decision to eat in the bar area (restaurant fully booked) provided us with nice meals, which was against some of the reviews we had read, so I am assuming improvements have been made. 「Bathroom was clean, though pillows had make-up stains on and the heating was only turned on when we arrive so took a while to warm up. Staff friendly when we arrived. it is above a pretty noisy pub with inside steps from the pub or a fire escape style staircase from outside. Could hear a couple having an arguemnt on the street below as well. All in all, convenient if needing to be in area but not one if you need somewhere a bit more accessible or quiet.」

「Lovely hotel, with lovely clean, well appointed rooms. We stayed on a Saturday when the football was on next door, but other than the lobby being busier you wouldn’t have known. Lad at reception was friendly and the Hilton chocolate chip cookie was a nice touch. Only thing to consider would be perhaps providing the option for a firmer pillow, but appreciate this is entirely personal preference. 」

「We wanted somewhere close to Hillsborough Stadium, and The Queens Ground fit the bill perfectly. Our room above the pub was clean, comfortable, and quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The pub itself is a proper local’s boozer - warm, welcoming, and full of character, with reasonably priced drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Would happily stay again.」

「Not close to main city centre, but near to highway as I need to travel to Manchester & Doncaster etc. Victoria style decorations, nice breakfast & easy parking….」
