Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites, an official Colonial Williamsburg Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very convenient to historic area. Note though it’s a 15 minute walk from the visitors center to the rest of the historic area. Can take a bus though. "
"Didn't like anything, the hotel was lacking in every area. The one reason I chose here was for the breakfast and that was below par. The room was not cleaned well, the bathroom was old, the AC vent was covered in dust, the TV was from 2006. This place needs to be severely renovated."
"Good location to historic area and Busch Gardens. Room spacious and clean. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast but uncluded so no complaints. "
Griffin Hotel, an official Colonial Williamsburg Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful setting in Colonial Williamsburg - if you are fairly mobile, this is great spot within the Colonial area so you can walkl everywhere. The spa gym building is separate but it is a pretty walk behind the sister hotel Williamsburg Inn where you check inn. The place itself was a good sized room and we slept 5 of us for this last minute stay and we normally get separate roomed suites, but this worked fine and was more budget friendly. The room itself was not super modernly updated, but it was fine, big, quiet, and peaceful. Great job!"
"We had to book a very last minute stay here, and this hotel was overall an amazing experience! It was very beautiful on the inside and out and the front desk employees were friendly and helpful. We had a single king bed room, It was clean, organized, and comfortable. The shower was nice, good control of the temperature, and had great water pressure. Our bed was comfortable and clean. The room smelled nice and there was no visible dirt or defects anywhere in the room. It had a fridge, a microwave, a desk, and a tv. The pool was nice and the breakfast in the morning was wonderful! They had a lot of options and kept it stocked throughout the whole morning. Check in was super simple, just gave vehicle information and proof of identity, and were given our room keys and directed to our room. Checkout was even easier, we handed the front desk employee our keys back and were told to have a wonderful day. No complaints about our experience and I would highly recommended this place. Also side note: they allow anyone 18 or older to check in. Other hotels in the area require you to be 21, so this was an extremely amazing benefit to this hotel! Me and my girlfriend spent the day at water country, and just needed a place to stay for the night, It was a struggle finding a hotel that would allow us to check in at 18, but this one was IT! No complaints and great experience especially for the price!!"
