"The hot spa was good, breakfast was outrageous"

"We stayed in the Makali tower or Lagoon tower, the handle felll off the shower, the resort itself is run down. They only gave us water the first night we checked in but never refilled in our room. When they did cleaning service in our room they didn’t wipe down counters. It was a bit outdated and I was very disappointed in the resort "

"Amazing place, amazing location, great history within those walls and big shout out to the Solid staff ! The Royal Kona building, they need to do real maintenance to this resort and stop patching the problems. Spend some money. This place has the potential to hold its old hawaii feel. Its a Gem of a place. and the The current kitchen staff are making exceptional quality food. Thank you all !"

"This was the longest walk between my room and the parking lot of anywhere I have ever stayed - a mile. And they charge you $48 per night for the convenience of parking there. The tram option was infrequent. Very disappointed they keep dolphins trapped onsite in a very shallow pool. Do not get the breakfast option - it was small and limited in selection."

"This a was a large condo building on the water. There was plenty of parking and a security guard on premises. Every door uses a pass code to get in like room, pool, elevator, stairs ect. There are some people that use these condos for winter months. It was located close to downtown kona. "

"The room was spacious, clean, well air conditioned and had a beautiful view facing the golf course. Our daughter loved the main pool and the daily children's activities."
