"Very nice newly renovated rooms "

"The best part of the hotel was the view from our room. It is hard to find places with ocean view. We appreciated being able to walk down to the beach in front of the hotel as well. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were hard. We enjoyed our breakfast in the deli and not having to drive into town to eat, though a free breakfast would have been even better."

"So we enjoyed our stay but it was a little strange - the first floor restaurant is completely shuttered and the building is pretty dated. Front desk staff were not super friendly and it wasn’t clear if there was daily maid service (a sign said there wasn’t but there was a tip envelope in the room). We hung up the do not disturb sign and didn’t worry about it. The big windows with ocean views wete amazing and the beach access (a 90 step staircase!) was awesome. "

"We love staying here-usually make a trip to Newport area a couple times a year. The rooms are comfy & we enjoy the view & falling asleep to the ocean sounds. The slider door stuck & the carpets getting a little fraid but we'll keep coming back. The staff here are the best!"

"The view of the ocean from our room was fantastic. The room was very clean and spacious. It was close to the things we wanted to do and staff pointed out some other interesting things in town. A little warm due to no air conditioning but a fan was provided in our room. Also gave us an adjoining room with the couple we were traveling with without even requesting which was nice. Would stay again if in the area."

"This place was a great deal! I reserved a studio, but they upgraded us to a one bedroom for no extra cost. Very happy with our unit. Big view of bridge, marina area and boat traffic. Quiet, but not real busy at this time (April). Well supplied kitchen (but no tea); spacious including two bathrooms (one is just toilet and sink). Everything works, is generally comfortable, and looks nice. The bed is a bit odd: top mattress isn't same shape as support, maybe just needs to be turned and...

"Great home for a weekend getaway. Well equipped for the 4 legged family members. The view was good and the beach front felt private. "

"The location can't be beaten, just steps from the sand. This property is very dated, the beds were uncomfortable, there were no screens on the windows, so we couldn't enjoy the ocean air. It just needs some serious updating. "
