We stayed here 3-4 years ago and it was awesome, so we stayed again the next year. They were going thru an owner change and the rooms were torn up, dirty, bugs coming out of holes in the wall, etc. We decided to give it another try because we love the location and it had been 2 years. The lobby is beautiful, and they have fixed most of the issues, but not all. There was no screen on our window, so when we opened it to hear the ocean, the bugs, etc, could fly right in. The beds were uncomfortable. The TV had EXTREMELY LIMITED channels, Netflix was offered, but it didn't work. If it's a stormy day, you need good TV options. Their restaurant used to be top quality, specifically the chowder, but now it's runny, and my shrimp/grits appetizer was SWIMMING in grease. Inedible. They need a new chef if they are charging $30-$40/meal. Won't be back. So sad because they used to be great. The best part of the stay was the staff, who are very helpful and friendly.
