"We love the pool is super kid friendly and that there is a shallow end for them. Our favorite hotel to go to for family days."

"The hotel was very nice as were the staff. As in many cities there is a significant homeless population close to the hotel. We have no difficulty, we were not bothered, it’s just sad to witness. Powell Books is a stones throw away, we had a few (4-5) blocks to walk for a meal. We wanted to watch play off hockey (Canadians!!) and we had no problem finding bars with TV’s. Staff in all areas we were gave great friendly service. All and all good city, very decent hotel. "

"Was more than i expected Was such a cool place Like a traveler mall Ate at cascade grill Citrus chicken was amazing. Huge plates Staff was super nice and awesome Super clean Super safe 110% happy i picked to stay here "

"This time we had another guest near us, opening and closing their door loudly all through the night, we could hear them literally running down the hall. It was frustrating trying to sleep."

"It has an Ecco theme. As you walk down the hallways, they have birds chirping. Very nice and helpful staff. Beautiful wood and artwork everywhere. A great gift shop and Hudson’s bar and restaurant- the best dinner we have ever had, walnut crusted warm Brie cheese, Berry Salad with mozarella mixed with cream and lots of berries on top, and excellent crab cakes. We LOVED this hotel!!!!"

"The hotel could use an update. Also extra fees galore, fees for food that you didn’t know was going to be on the bill and if you don’t use it you lose it and still have to pay. Seems illegal to do this"

"Lights were confusing and didnt all work. Rain shower was broken. Housekeeping ignored do not disturb sign. "

"The location was nice and quiet, considering it's in a busier area. The riverview was nice and the trail next to it was lovely. The room itself was disappointing because it really wasn't very clean. For the price and the type of hotel it is, I really expected more cleanliness. The windows were filthy and I don't mean a little dirt, I mean so filthy they obstructed the views. The pull-out sofa sleeper was full of crumbs and wrappers from the previous occupants. The kitchenette was dingy with...

"My family and I enjoyed the hotel. The kids said the pool was a bit chilly but still fun. The only complaint we had was that the food we got delivered from room service was not that good. We order fries and garlic bread. They both came lukewarm at best and a bit soggy like they had been sitting for a while. The staff was amazing and the room was nice as well. "

"Most dog friendly hotel we have ever stayed. Very good value for money. We will only stay at this hotel from now on whenever we go to Portland again."

"We've been to the area many times and never have stayed at the Hyatt Place. In the past it was overpriced and we've stayed at the Residence Inn down the street many times. This time as we checked ahead of time the Hyatt was cheaper. We were pleasantly surprised about everything at this hotel and will stay here again and maybe even if its price is close to the Residence Inn. Very nice place all around. The breakfast bar was one of the best we've had!!!"

"Parking at the hotel was way too expensive but parking garages need by were inexpensive and convenient "

"A comfortable stay downtown Portland. The room was not too big, but comfortable. The only thing was parking. Not a lot in the area, valet parking was expensive, $48/day."
