Riverheads 3 Stars Hotels

The only thing I can say about the hotel is that it would be better if they did not charge for the breakfast. The breakfast was great, but with so many other hotels offering breakfast it just seemed a bit much to have to pay for the meal. The wait staff in the dining area was great, but with it being a buffet, I felt like there were too many staff members there. Other than this, the hotel is wonderful!!!!!

The facility was marvelous, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. I enjoyed the reading room, which had very comfortable seating. The grounds are wonderful, and the view from the tower is amazing. The town of Staunton is so full of history and beautiful architecture.

Rooms were clean, spacious, and included all of the amenities needed when traveling with a toddler.

We were very pleasantly surprised and impressed. They have done a spectacular job of restoring and decorating. All appointments and furnishings are upscale and first class. Everything is very modern and new. The location is in the middle of downtown and sits atop a very popular Bistro. The parking lot behind them hosts a farmers market every Saturday. Regarding the farmers market and lot. We parked there on Friday when we arrived. We woke up Saturday to see our 5-day old car gone. It was...

The Gin Hotel is a must stay again for me. The Gin is a unique hotel in a 100yr old building right in downtown Lexington. It was quiet, clean, safe and all of the staff were awesome. I grew up in the area but haven't returned in a couple of decades. Downtown Lexington has transformed into a great place to walk around, shop, eat and have a few drinks. The only negatives I would give is parking is tight for modern vehicles and the mattress was firmer than my taste... but that's personal...

Go to the Black Friars Shakespeare theater when you visit Staunton! Frederick House has discounted tickets.

Great experience

There simply aren’t enough nice things to say about the fabulous staff here. We had stayed a couple of days before Christmas and they had had a little Santa in the room stating that my children had found Santa so they could come pick wrapped gifts from the lobby. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was lovely and again the staff just makes the place.

Clean, Comfortable, Breakfast Selection, & Fair Value.

It's not really the owner's fault at all but the place is built on a rather treacherous bit of mountainside in the Shenandoah. The website doesn't really give much warning about this and there isn't any sort of guardrails. There is a hell of a 'pucker factor' getting to and from the location as it's just one lane. But once you get there- My GOSH! So beautiful-- so inviting.. and so, so so sooo cozy! Makes it all worthwhile!! As I said before, unless a millionaire wants to donate $$$$$$...

It was very nice clean quiet place... The booking of the room was low... A great place to stay at...

Next time, don’t advertise a hot tub outside for the cabins that DON’T have a hot tub outside. Everything else was awesome.

Number of areas to relax. Breakfast was a delicious soufle. So restful’

Cool old farmhouse in a rustic setting. It was clean and easy to book and stay. No staff on-site, but it was no problem. Everything is done online. Would recommend it to friends and family

Unique place in the heart of a charming town.

Excellent place to stay! Joshua called us before we arrived to get any requests. The homemade breakfast was superb! The host was hospitable, the scenery fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Buckhorn Inn is an absolute must for traveling through/staying around the Shenandoah, Blue Ridge & Staunton area! The owners maintain the historic beauty of the property while making it comfortable, accessible and cozy. The property’s history is fascinating and the location is convenient to hiking and downtown amenities. The owners even stayed late to ensure my partner and I got checked in safely. We can’t wait to visit again soon & see how the newly owned property continues to evolve! Hoping...
