"My family had a wonderful time at the Stay! From the wonderful lady who checked us in, to the friendly ladies who hosted the Social time. Even Mark in maintenance who was watering the flowers around the pool and fire pit area, everyone we encountered was warm and made our stay so wonderful. Our room was spacious and clean, exactly as pictured. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time we come to Montgomery! It's also perfectly located so that we could walk to anywhere we wanted to go....

"The St. James is a lovely historical hotel with a friendly staff. If you stay, reserve a room on the river with a view of the bridge. Be sure to visit the Voting Rights Museum and the park/shop at the base of the bridge. We are so glad we visited the city. We just wish Selma could be revitalized because it deserves that. It’s sad to see that so many beautiful buildings have become run-down. "

"Great place to stay! Breakfast was amazing with many choices. The room was clean. The hotel was extremely quiet. Offered several amenities (e.g. cookies and lemonade, free cocktail hour) and pet friendly (but would have never known dogs were there.) The staff was super friendly and helpful. "
