「If you are allergic to a cat, there is a lot of cats… I booked through Expedia. Upon arrival, the front desk couldn’t find my reservation and insisted on creating a new one with my card. After much insistence, they located it but had no room ready, forcing me to wait. Placed in a room with a strong urine smell (likely dog) in the bathroom. No room number signs in the hallway, and the same odor was in the main first-floor bathroom. No Wi-Fi password provided. Breakfast was okay. Photos on Expedia...

「While the room itself was clean, there were several issues that make this a bad stay. Both of the sheets were clean, but had some orange and red stains. The towels provided were tattered and had significant holes in them. The gap between the outside door and the floorboard was quite large, with nothing stopping bugs/mice from coming inside. I stayed in room 3, and I could hear whispers from room 2 like they were right next to me, so don’t expect any privacy. Finally, when we arrived we were told...

「Staff was great. My 3 star rating is only because there were no sign ups left when arriving for the 3PM check-in. Without this, for the sauna or infrared room; it leaves you to be "stealing time" where you can..(also feels a bit absurd for the rate you pay.) I had to scramble out of one solo sauna after first finding it empty, because a couple had booked it, and they told me they were also booked for the infrared (double dipping also leaves others without.) 「Fabulous property that feels like a remote getaway but has lovely amenities and nice touches of rustic luxury. This hotel is 5 years old but feels brand new. The restaurant is excellent. The included breakfast buffet is one of the very best I’ve ever had. They are building a spa near the lake. The hike around the lake is peaceful. Will definitely be back to this hotel.」
