"What a beautiful place to stay! Wish we could have stayed longer. The staff deserved more stars than 5; the dinner was beyond expectation, and the room was delightful. "It was unbearably hot in the room. Screen on sliding door was broken so we couldn't leave the door open. Only one of three windows had a screen. Thermostat was set to off but one of the electric heaters was blasting heat. It was a very uncomfortably hot night with only one window open. Air conditioner was not installed. "We booked our stay in advance and it fell on the weekend of a huge snow storm 3 feet. Power went out as well. But we had heat thankfully, and owners had a generator. They kept the driveways clear of snow. The view was picturesque. It was peaceful fun. "

"The room was dark and dingy and had pluming issues , not only are room but the entire resort to bad because the resort has a nice beech and beautiful view of the lake . I would have to say the rooms are tired and in need of an up date . Hey that's just my opinion but I have to say I've been there 4 times I guess it's the views and the call of the loons that get me every time ."

"We arrived by bike (3 day bike ride) and was greeted by two staff with great smiles, very friendly and helpful. Easy check-in! Room was clean, well equipped, excellent A/C that was so very quiet. Large king size bed and clean washroom. Dinner on the deck was excellent, well priced again served by great staff - so friendly! The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The main lodge is the best ever - clean, bright, cool (great A/C). So much history all detailed in 5 excellent binders to read. (well done!!). Breakfast was a great experience - well done; excellent presentation; great choice; all served by excellent staff!! Overall, an excellent choice on a beautiful lake with the best staff ever! Highly recommended."
