Onyx 2 Stars Hotels

We visited for four days during July 2017. Had a great stay at this location!! Sarge and Debbie, the owners, do a fantastic job of making you feel at home and welcomed!! The rooms are clean with working AC and Cable TV, not that you'll spend much time in your room with all of the outdoor activities in the area!! The property has direct access down to Kern River, with great places to sit back and enjoy the views and meditate by the water. There is a General Store right across the street,...

Perfect

Beautiful place to stay… clean, cozy & quiet! Right across the street from the river & close to town & restaurants. Highly recommend

Great place, all you could hear was the river and the birds.

The room was comfortable and quiet. And the staff was very friendly! It’s now my favorite place to stay in kernville

Breakfast was just ok. Food was not hot

Such a cute, quiet place to stay for a quick weekend getaway. We love it there and everyone is so welcoming and thoughtful.

We really enjoyed our first time here. Such a convenient little spot to everything!

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room had one queen bed with kitchenette (didn't use). Walls were pretty knotty pine that gave the room a cabin feel. Front desk employees exceptionally friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, remote control A/C system, color TV. Reserved parking space right outside the door. No, it is not like the chain hotel we usually stay in, with a small amount of green tile in the bathroom, no tub, and a real room key instead of a key card, but it fit its location...

Pleasant environment.

Quiet location with excellent view of the river. Close to Kernville. Comfortable room and bed.

Typical of other Best Western hotels we have stayed at. Rooms are well appointed and furnishings appear to have been upgraded fairly recently, beds are comfortable, and staff was courteous and helpful. The included breakfast was also good with a large variety of options (omelets, waffles, potatoes, bacon, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and various breads and pastries).

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are nice, new and useful. My room, bath, bed, WiFi and TV were in very good shape and no complaints. The breakfast was more than I could ask for - eggs, sausage, waffles and lots of other good stuff. Free papers. Heater and AC worked fine as did the hot water. You can park right outside your room. The room was quiet and dark and I slept fine. The heater worked well and it was 30 that night. Everything was clean and in order. The lobby...

Riverview lodge is our happy place we absolutely love going there every year and look forward to going back! Owners are so kind and welcoming we always appreciate the hospitality and warmth they exude. Right in the center of town if you want to walk to dinner or walk to get a drink. Love kernville we look forward to being back again.

Great service considering they just had a 2nd 7.1 earthquake. They were very hospitable concerning the situation. Kudos to everyone that helped us. My heart goes out to the community

Very good place to stay for the price! Would stay here again.

Front desk staff are great! Parking is fine and they have cameras on the parking lot. Walls and floors/ceilings are thin. I could hear somebody whistling down the hallway in the early am… why he chose to share that talent at that time with the 1st floor is beyond me. I think I herd of water Buffalo were staying above me and stampeding half the night. Beds are ok for comfort, pillows are like blocks. My thoughts are get new pillows, allow the fan on the heat/AC to run continuously to block out...
