Just had a wonderful stay at Xianal Vacation Chateau (夏內爾渡假民宿). It was just a piece of paradise among the strawberry fields. It's just off the busy Taiwan Route No 3, but the noise level was not a concern due to good sound insulations. It's also a short drive to the town of Dahu for a nice meal. The hosts are very enthusiastic and helpful, and are just a pleasure to chat with. The room was tastefully decorated, with top-shelve amenities. I spent a week in Taiwan and this is my favorite hotel for this kind of stay. I had business all over the country, but hate changing hotels, so it served as a great "base of operations." The only downside is distance from the High Speed Rail station and the traffic during rush hours, but it's worth the extra time to the amenities of this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel during June. Most of the desk staff spoke very good English and were very helpful during our stay. We arrived early on our train and they allowed us to store our luggage while we went out to visit the nearby area. We we returned to finish checkin, luggage was already up in our room for us. Breakfast is excellent for our taste, decent mixture of western and Chinese food which were very filling. The washer worked well, but drying clothes took a long time with the...
