Beautiful little inn, on a charming central street. The staff could not have been more kind and welcoming. Onset and hospitality are made this seem like a mini-resort.

The staff was lovely and everything was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable and this hotel is in a great location- close to trains and walking distance to temples, bistros and beach.

i was only staying 1 night in kamakura. needed a spot by the station so i could venture off on a pre-dawn photography adventure. found tosei hotel cocone. the staff was welcoming and engaging. the room was surprisingly larger than expected. actually larger than the room in have in shinjuku! comfortable bed and a nice tub to soak in. if i find myself needing a stay in kamakura again, i will book here for a longer duration. wanted to check out their onsen.

Excellent quiet location
Excellent location, pretty quiet, rooms are clean. The onsen was clean and very nice! Breakfast is not a buffet but a set breakfast with a choice of either American or Japanese, not bad but just something to be aware of.

Very nice English-speaking staff. A hotel that goes the extra mile to give guests more for their money. 24 hour coffee in the lobby and an excellent Japanese breakfast were two high points for me.

Efficient and beautiful in every way including the design of the bedroom. The Japanese breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would love to stay here again. The only issue may be a lack of restaurants nearby.

Tosei Hotel Cocone Kamakura is a beautiful hotel. My bedroom was large - even larger than it looked in the photos, and extremely comfortable. It had anything one needs, including plenty of storage space. The pajama was nice and comfortable, and there was bottled water in the room. I would have been very happy spending a few days there, but my stay in Kamakura was only one night, unfortunately. The Ofuro isn't bad, but it was very crowded when I went, so I didn't enjoy that. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but they offer a free evening light meal and there are a variety of drinks available to the guests for free, which was rather wonderful. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat and I certainly recommend this hotel.

Very nice place to stay with lots of hospitality. We loved the "midnight snack" and appreciate the breakfast to start the day. Lots of local shops and restaurants around - be sure to try the restaurant next door! I also appreciate the private bathroom in case you don't want to do the public bath.

Staff was extremely accommodating. The room had all the amenities and everything was fully operational. The downstairs lobby has lots of comfortable seats if you need to wait. The lobby also was thoughtfully decorated. The free coffee machine was a bit of a busy spot, but right next to it was a sizable manga library. You can check out as many books as you want and take them to your room as long as you return them when finished. Great place to stay for families!

Our room was much smaller than I thought, but staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was good. I liked how they provide some onigiri for evening snack and there were manga (Japanese comic books) to borrow.

This hotel is in an awesome location. Only a couple minutes walk from Kamakura’s train station. Many free amenities and front desk is very helpful. The on site bath is also very peaceful. I definitely will stay here again if I find myself in Kamakura.

An enjoyable stay
We stayed here two nights. The hotel was about seven minutes walk from the station. The room was clean and comfortable and a little larger than average Japanese hotel rooms. A hot tub was available, and instructions for entry were available on the tv screen.

Absolutely everything we needed for an overnight stay! Close to the JR station, close to food and shopping, and great access to many top sights in the area. But most of all, meticulously clean and well maintained and fitted out with way more utilities and amenities than you would expect for the price, even considering Japan's reputation for great-value accommodation: comfy bed in a tight space (but it's Japan), generous bathroom toiletries, sleep wear, hair dryer, slippers, tea kettle, mini fridge, charge points... even a curling iron for the wife! The Japanese breakfast was good too. Superb staff - foreigner-friendly as well. Blew past our expectations!

I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Kamakura! The staff were extremely nice & most helpful for someone who doesn’t speak Japanese. The public bath was very relaxing, and the miso soup was a delightful snack before dinner. The hotel is perfectly situated close to the train station as well as all the major sites. Only a 20 minute walk to the beach!
