Staff were very pleasant & accommodating. Excellent chef ‘Colin’ that went out of his way to cater to our groups special dietary needs. Restaurant & bar right up close to the sea enabling us to watch the sun rise & sun set in comfort.

Absolutely horrible experience at the R Hotel. After a flight to Montego Bay and a 3.5-hour drive to Kingston, I arrived exhausted to check into my prepaid, confirmed reservation, only to be told by Gabriel at the front desk that my room had been given away. She told me she gave my room to a man who simply walked in because she “felt sorry for him.” I could not believe that a walk-in guest was given priority over someone with a confirmed, prepaid reservation. Gabriel was extremely unprofessional, dismissive, and unapologetic, and told me to go find another hotel because they were sold out. I spent over three hours dealing with Expedia trying to resolve the situation. Even worse, I watched another guest arrive hours after me and get checked in, despite being told there were no rooms available. Gabriel could not provide a reasonable explanation. Being stranded at night after such a long journey was extremely stressful and completely unacceptable. I have never experienced such poor customer service or such blatant disregard for a paying guest. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL WITH YOUR RESERVATION. A confirmed and prepaid reservation apparently means nothing if the hotel chooses to give your room to someone else. The customer service was terrible, the handling of the situation was completely unprofessional, and I received no meaningful assistance. The reception extremely unprofessional handling of the situation made an already horrible experience even worse.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room felt a bit dated. Overall good experience
