Suburban Studios Winston-Salem near Hanes Mall
It's the most ghetto hotel I've stayed in. The front of building looks good but go around to the back and it's all druggies hanging out. Not safe feeling at all!

Arrived for a work trip to find the hotel did not match the photos online- the space is quite dated &needs some updates. You could tell by the condition of the elevator, the carpets, trim etc that it hasn't had a face lift in some time. The room was pleasant enough for the stay, but had some mystery ...

Hawthorne Inn and Conference Center
I was a little skeptical looking from the outside because the hotel looked a bit old and run down but the inside was nice.

Hampton Inn & Suites Winston-Salem Downtown
Hotel only has valet parking no option to self-park. We waited over 45 minutes for the valet to retrieve our car and were late to our meeting. Room was spacious and breakfast was well-stocked, but won't stay here again because of the parking.
